If I were to describe Hedviga Hamžík’s work, I would call it an art that is consistently thought through. Just as one hundred years ago Malevich’s suprematism appeared and later what we call ABC ART, today we are dealing with artists who demarcate themselves from various types of artistic expression with a literal strictness: programmatically they work in minimalist mode with just a few lines and pure colours, but on the other hand they will uninhibitedly take inspiration from the field of graphic design.
